Receiving Vaccination and Adverse Reaction Data

Federations, Clusters and Primary Care Networks - All Countries

If your Federation/Primary Care Network/Cluster is involved in the national COVID vaccination programme, please use one of the national recommended systems for recording COVID vaccinations as per national guidance. This allows for consistent data capture and central reporting to take place via existing messaging solutions.

Cegedim Healthcare Solutions receives this data automatically and files it into the patient's record on your behalf.

Practices

England, Wales & Northern Ireland

The majority of COVID-19 immunisations are administered to the general population via mass vaccine centres in England and Wales. Vaccine and adverse reaction data are electronically recorded on site using systems selected by national bodies (Pinnacle, Sonar and System C for England and WIS for Wales):

  • England - We receive adverse reaction data automatically and file it into the patient's record on your behalf.

  • Wales and Northern Ireland – Adverse reactions are not currently sent automatically and are therefore not available for viewing in the patient record.

Scotland

In Scotland, the majority of COVID-19 immunisations are administered to the general population via general practice vaccination clinics and mass vaccine centres. Vaccine and adverse reaction data is electronically recorded on site using systems selected by the national body. The write back of this data to the patient record is also managed by a nationally selected third party tool. Please contact your local Health Board with any queries.
