Address for New Patients
When you select OK from Registration - Personal Details in the registration process, a New Registration PDS Address Confirmation screen displays. You are given the following options to select from:
- Main Address
- Previous Registered Address
- Permanent Registered Address for Temporary Resident
- Business/Other
-
Note - You can select Close to bypass this screen and add the details manually.
If you select Main Address, the address is saved to Main Address.
If you select Previous Registered Address for the address stored on PDS and the patient has no other address entries held in Vision 3, you have to manually add the patients Main Address details.
If the patient has registered at your practice before or has family or contact address details on Vision 3, these details are used as the Main Address and the PDS Main address is stored as the Previous Registered Address in Vision 3. This can of course be edited at any time.
If you select Permanent Registered Address for Temporary Resident for a patient with no existing family or contact selected, you need to add the temporary address to the main address screen manually.
If you select Permanent Registered Address for Temporary Resident for a patient with existing family or contact selected, Vision 3 adds the temporary address to the main address details and the Permanent address from PDS to Permanent Registered Address for Temporary Residents.
If you choose that the address on PDS should be recorded as business or other in Vision 3, then you must enter the main address manually if the patient has not been identified as part of a family or contact to another patient.
You are able to add a specific address type for correspondence purposes only. This address is not synchronised with the Patient Demographics Service.
