How to Use On-screen Help

Overview

Navigation Panel

The Navigation Panel contains the Contents, Index and Search tabs. (The Search tab only appears after a search has been run). The tab headers are located at the bottom of the Navigation Panel. Select the header to open the appropriate tab.

  • Contents - Displays the Help structure. Select a book to open its contents and select a topic to open in the Main Panel.
  • Index - Lists all indexed keywords in alphabetical order.
  • Search - Lists all matched search results.

    The Search facility is located at the top right of the Help window. The 'Match partial words' checkbox allows you to expand your search by listing all partial words.

Main Panel

The Main Panel displays the selected topic contents.

Note - You can navigate to other topics within the open topic by selecting any available hyperlinks or by using the 'See Also' facility at the bottom of the topic content.

Toolbar

  • - Home - Opens the Help home page. In the example shown above selecting the Home icon opens the Consultation Manager on-screen help home page.
  • - Previous - Opens the previous topic in the Help structure.
  • - Next - Opens the next topic in the Help structure.
  • - Email this page - If you want to keep a particular topic to hand for future reference or want to send it to someone else, you can email the current open topic by selecting the Email this page icon. The link to the topic is entered into a new email message. Add the recipient address and send.
  • - Send Feedback - You can help us improve your user assistance by sending us feedback on the help topic you are accessing. Just select the Send feedback icon at the top of the help screen, enter your comments in the new email message and send.
  • - Print this page - Print a copy of the open topic by selecting the Print this page icon.

    Note - If you use NHS Mail you are prompted to set up Outlook when selecting the Email this page and Send Feedback icons. To get round this, copy the email address (and content if necessary) from the popup screen and paste into NHS Mail.
