Identifiers

Note - You should enter a consultant code for consultants. If you adding a nurse attached to a department, you can select their NMC PIN number in Identifier Type.

1. Select the Identifiers tab.
2. Select Add.
3. In Identifier Type, select Consultant Code. In Identifier Value, type in the code - it is 8 characters, six numeric characters (their GMC code) with the addition of the C prefix and a last check digit. It can used as a merge field on referral letters. Note there are other options which will be used in Mail Manager - Mail Manager - Consultant, Mail Manager - Related Party (person), and Mail Manager - Person Performing Test.
4. Click OK.
