Security in Registration

If Registration Links is not working for any reason or you receive an unmatched transaction, you can use one of the following security functions to override a normally automatic procedure.

From Registration - Security you can select:

  • Deduct Patient - To enter the details of a patient who has transferred out from the practice list if they have removed, for example, changed address or died (DEH).
  • Amend NHS Number (England, Wales and Northern Ireland only) - To amend an NHS number, normally a task only undertaken by the TP (AMH).
  • Amend CHI Number (Scotland only) - This allows you to amend a CHI number (CMH).
  • Clear Medical Records flag - To clear the Records Requested flag or the Records sent by TP flag on Registration and reset either to No (MRH).
  • Approve patient - To 'unfreeze' the Registration screen of a newly registered patient to enable editing, for example, to manually approve a patient acceptance (by GP). In Scotland, the patient's CHI number is required(APH).
  • Clear FP69 Status (England, Wales and Northern Ireland only) - To remove an FP69 status from a patient (FFH).
  • Remove Medical Records Sent Flag - To remove a medical record flags not clearing despite receiving the correct transactions from the health boards. This should not be used until a patient is deducted and their Medical Records are returned to and received by the Trading Partner.
Note - Completed security functions are included in the Completed Transactions file. These transactions are not generated for transmission but for the audit trail.
