Rejecting an Amendment

Incoming amendments from your TP can be rejected if the amendment contains changes with which you disagree. Enter a reason for rejection when prompted. The matched amendment is copied and marked as rejected in the Completed Transactions file.

Important - You cannot reject an incoming amendment if it is a new NHS number (England, Wales and Northern Ireland) or CHI number (Scotland). If the incoming amendment has a new NHS or CHI number and other information, then you may reject the other information, but not the new NHS or CHI number.
Note - You cannot amend a patient's NHS or CHI Number, this has to be done by your TP. If the electronic link is down you can update a patient's NHS or CHI Number from Registration - Security - Amend NHS/CHI Number, see Troubleshooting in Registration Links.
