Troubleshooting in Registration Links

Security in Registration

If Registration Links is not working for any reason or an unmatched transaction has been received, one of the following security functions can be used to override a normally automatic procedure.

From Registration - Security you can select:

  • Deduct Patient - To enter the details of a patient who has transferred out from the practice list if they have, for example, been removed, changed address or died. (DEH)
  • Amend NHS Number (England, Wales and Northern Ireland only) - This allows the practice to amend an NHS number, normally a task only undertaken by the TP. (AMH)
  • Amend CHI Number (Scotland only) - This allows you to amend a CHI number. (CMH)
  • Clear Medical Records flag - To clear the Records Requested flag or the Records sent by TP flag on Registration and reset either to No. (MRH)
  • Approve patient - This 'unfreezes' the Registration screen of a newly registered patient so that editing becomes possible, for example, Manual approval of patient acceptance (by GP). In Scotland, the patient's CHI number is required. (APH)
  • Clear FP69 Status (England, Wales and Northern Ireland only) - This removes an FP69 status from a patient for whom an FP69 Notification has been sent. (FFH)
  • Remove Medical Records Sent Flag - This enables you to remove the medical record flags not clearing despite receiving the correct transactions from the health boards. This should be used once a patient is deducted and the Medical Records have been returned to and received by the health board.
Note - Completed Security functions are included in the Completed Transactions file. These transactions are not generated for transmission but for the audit trail.
