Actions

An Action can be attached to a message to act as a note or instruction to another member of staff. An Action consists of:

  • Who created the action and when
  • Who was/is responsible for the action and the date on which the action was taken
  • The current status of the action (marked by Action Status)
  • An indication of whether the action is considered Complete or not
  • A patient-specific flag, described below
  • An action code to enable searching
  • The text of the action

An unlimited number of actions can be attached to a message. The latest outstanding action (defined as the most recent Action by date) displays in the summary list, all actions display on the Actions tab in the message view.

The Action list is maintained from Control Panel - Mail Maintenance - Actions.
