Enabling Online Patient Summary
Patient Summary allows you to enable your patients to view a subset of their medical record.
In England, Scotland and Northern Ireland once enabled, providing the two clinical terms that permit access are added to the patient record in the correct order, see Record Read Code for Access to Patient Summary, your patients can view their:
- Allergies - Drug and non-drug.
- Medication Issued - Acutes and repeats (including discontinued repeats).
- Immunisations - Only those recorded in the Immunisations Structured Data Area (SDA) with a Status of Given display.
To enable this:

From Vision 3 - Management Tools, select Control Panel - File Maintenance - Online Services
and the Vision Online Services screen displays. - Tick Summary Data to enable patient access to their summary data.
- Select OK to save.
