SNOMED CT
SNOMED CT stands for Systematised Nomenclature of Medicine - Clinical Terms and is a common, standardised clinical coding language that replaces Read/CTV3 codes within the NHS.
SNOMED CT is the most comprehensive and precise clinical health terminology product in the world. It includes diagnosis and procedures, symptoms, family history, allergies, assessment tools, observations, devices and other content to support healthcare delivery.

Vision Anywhere uses SNOMED for data entry, this makes searching for codes more accurate and efficient as the SNOMED Concept Types are utilised.
To help you quickly find the correct term, tags are allocated to each concept type level and display alongside the clinical term.
For example, entering Cough, displays "Symptom or examination finding", whereas Cough fracture displays "Diagnosis", to indicate the type of code selected.
