Shared Care Setting

If you are using Vision Anywhere in a shared care setting, the patient's record cannot be accessed until you record a consent status.

In the event of the patient refusing consent to view and wanting a consultation, the Record a consultation without consent option is available.

The patient consent options are defined by your organisation. However the most common consent status are:-

  • General Practice Registration - the patient is registered with your practice.
  • Patient has given Consent

You also need to record consent reason when manually downloading a patient record.

See - Downloading Patients to a Windows Mobile Device.

If a patient has dissented to share their record with the service, a message "Please note that the patient has withdrawn consent from this service" displays after selecting the consent reason.

Select "Record a consultation without consent" if you wish to proceed with the consultation.
