Removal of Unused Unique Booking Reference Numbers (UBRNs)
In order to stop unused UBRNs lingering on the system (ie where an e-Referral has been started but not completed and is no longer required), when you delete an e-Referral, the associated UBRN is also removed from the patient’s record. This allows you to have a view of only valid e-Referrals for the patient.
You can delete an e-Referral by either deleting the Referral or RMD entry from Consultation Manager. The associated UBRN is removed from both entries when one of either entry is deleted.
