Recording EPS Exceptions

You can exclude the following patients from using the EPS service by recording the following corresponding Read code on their record:

• Patients who live on the border of England and collect their items from Scotland or Wales:

• 9Re.. Electronic Prescription Service exception - cross-border patient,

• If your practice or the practice that patients collect their prescriptions from is a dispensing practice who is not EPS enabled:

• 9Rf.. Electronic Prescription Service exception - dispensing general practice not yet Electronic Prescription Service compliant

  Note - The Spine Demographics consent flag does not apply to EPS and can therefore be ignored for EPS processes.
