What's New in the Vision 3 Front Screen

Vision 3 release DLM 930 contains the following updates in Consultation Manager:

  • Drug checks on repeat reauthorisation

    • When reauthorising a repeat prescription, the drug decision support checks are now automatically run.

  • Removal of Fully Automatic Problem Generation option in Consultation Manager Setup

    • In order to avoid misleading data in the patient record, we have disabled the option to select Fully Automatic Problem Generation for all users. If your practice uses Problems, you can continue to add Problems manually or use the option for Semi-Automatic Problem Generation. See Using Problems

      • This option has been removed from the Vision 3 Front Screen Setup Management Tab.

Immunisations:

  • Immunisations Display

  • To improve the readability of immunisation records, the immunisation name now displays in the patient's journal summary and in the output of reports.

Pandemic Influenza:

  • A new immunisation type, Influenza – Pandemic, is available for the product Zoonotic Influenza vaccine Seqirus.

Childhood Immunisations:

Changes are applied to the following childhood immunisations:

  • MenB and PNEUMOPREV13 - The intervals for MenB and PNEUMOPREV13 have been updated as follows:
    • Meningococcal B Stage 1: The interval has changed from 2 months to 4 weeks.

      Stage 2: Under the new schedule, the booster dose will be given at a 40-week interval from the first dose.

    • Pneumo conj Prevenar13 (2 dose) Stage 2: Current interval, 40 weeks. Under the new schedule, it will be given 36 weeks after stage 1.

  • Hepatitis B Junior (Add. At Risk)- The option to select a stage 3 dose has now been removed from the main list, check the Show All option to add it.

  • HiB/Meningococcal C – The option to select a one year dose for the has now been removed from the main list, check the Show All option to add it.

  • Hexavalent (DTaP/IPV/Hib/HepB) - There is a new stage 4, 62 weeks following stage 3.

Note - Although not required until 2026 the new 4th hexavalent(DTap/IPV/Hib/hepB stage has been included in this release.

  • MMR - the Interval between doses is now 6 months.

Note - MMR- Interval changes (age-dependent from 01/01/2026) are included in this release.

For NHS Lothian customers only: To access the Lothian Clinical Portal from Consultation Manager, follow these steps:

  1. From Consultation Manager with a patient selected go to the Add menu

  2. From the Add menu select External Applications

  3. Select Launch

  4. Select Lothian Clinical Viewer

  5. The NHS Lothian Clinical Portal displays in a new browser window

Note - Vision no longer manages the portal window, it will now open in an external browser.
