Redirecting Messages

You can automatically redirect you own, or, if you have System Administrator rights, other Mail Manager users’ messages for a defined period of time in Mail Maintenance.

To automatically redirect a message:

  1. From Vision 3, select Management Tools - Control Panel - Mail Maintenance - Msg Redirection .
  2. Right click on the mailbox to redirect and select Add.
  3. The Message Redirection - Add screen displays, in Redirect messages to select the recipient you wish to redirect messages to.
  4. In From enter a start date and if required in To an end date.
  5. Select OK to save.
Note - This includes all message types.

displays next to their name in Mail Maintenance - Msg Redirection.

If anyone allocates mail from Mail Manager to a mailbox that has an active redirect, the 'A message redirection exists for (Mailbox Name). This message will be re-allocated to (Redirection Recipient Name). Do you wish to continue?' message displays. Select Yes to redirect the message.

Redirected messages are marked Redirected in the message audit trail in Mail Manager.

See Removing a Message Redirection for further details.
