Viewing a Sensitive Record

If you have permission to view a sensitive patient record, you can do so with no restrictions.

If you do not have permission to access a sensitive patient record, if you select it the following warning message displays, 'You do not have the correct permission to view this patient record. Please contact a system administrator in the practice for further assistance.'

Checking Which Staff have Access to Sensitive Records

To check which members of staff have access to patient records marked as sensitive:

  1. From Registration , choose Select Patient and select the patient required.
  2. From the Registration Details screen, select the Other tab.
  3. Select Restrictions and the Sensitive Patient Restrictions screen displays.
  4. Check the Users who can view the patient’s record pane for who has access to this patient record.
  5. Select OK to close screen.
