Reviewing Incoming GP2GP Notes in Consultation Manager

Once the patient record has been filed from Mail Manager, you should review the imported record in Consultation Manager .

  • Allergies and Repeat Medication are particularly urgent and should be dealt with by a clinician. See Allergies, Repeat medication and Acute medication.
  • Other degraded records should also be dealt with promptly - there is a degraded records line in the Alerts pane, double click to see a list of degraded records. See Degraded Records including History entries which should be in an SDA, Pathology, Attachments.
  • Records of newly transferred patients have an entry with a Read code of 91... Patient Registration. This allows you to make regular searches for GP2GP patients - Search for patients with transferred records.
  • Warn practice staff that this patient has records transferred via GP2GP by adding reminders - see Reminders. Staff should be made aware, for example, that the previous practice was a Vision practice, they may have used a different system for priorities 1-9 on History records than your practice. You can use a Priority mapper to map each history priority number to a pre-defined category (see Priorities).
